Las Vegas Grand Prix 2026: Complete Visitor Guide to F1 Weekend
Formula 1 returns to the Las Vegas Strip November 19–21, 2026. This is not a normal Vegas weekend: the Strip itself becomes part of the 3.8-mile street circuit, transportation patterns change, and where you stay can matter almost as much as your ticket.

The biggest decision: where you stay
For F1 weekend, choosing a hotel purely by normal Vegas geography can backfire. The circuit uses Las Vegas Boulevard, Harmon Avenue, Koval Lane and Sands Avenue, so a hotel that looks close on a map can involve a very different walking route once race operations are active. Prioritize the zone connected to your ticket, then compare the rest of your Vegas plans.

- Friday, Nov. 20: Practice 3 at 4:30 PM; Qualifying at 8:00 PM.
- Saturday, Nov. 21: gates open at 2:30 PM; Grand Prix starts at 8:00 PM.

Tickets: don’t buy before understanding your zone
The official event currently offers hospitality, grandstand and general-admission products, including single-day options. Different zones create very different experiences, so start with sightline, access and budget—not simply the cheapest listing you see.

Transportation: walking becomes part of the plan
Race weekend changes the normal rhythm of the Strip. Do not build an itinerary that depends on repeatedly crossing the circuit or making tight reservations across town. Wear comfortable shoes, leave more buffer than you normally would, and treat your race zone as the center of that day’s itinerary.
WassupVegas tip: on race days, group food, attractions and nightlife around the side of the Strip where you already expect to be.
What to do before the racing
Race sessions happen later in the day, which leaves mornings and early afternoons open. That’s the opportunity for brunch, a pool/resort morning, an attraction or a short sightseeing block. Avoid turning it into an exhausting full-day itinerary before several hours of standing and walking at the circuit.
Saturday after the Grand Prix
The race starts at 8:00 PM, so don’t assume you’ll smoothly move to a distant 10:30 PM reservation. Stay flexible. The official F1 weekend also includes an afterparty option at Sphere featuring Backstreet Boys after the race, while the wider city will be busy with its normal Saturday-night entertainment.
Turn F1 into a Vegas weekend.

Is F1 weekend worth building a trip around?
Yes, if: you want the spectacle of Formula 1 racing through the Strip and are comfortable planning the trip around race operations.
Consider another weekend if: your priority is freely exploring every part of the Strip with minimal disruption and F1 itself isn’t important to you.
F1 weekend checklist
- Match your hotel location to your ticket zone.
- Recheck official session times before traveling.
- Expect substantially more walking than a normal resort weekend.
- Leave buffers around restaurant and show reservations.
- Check the official event’s current prohibited-items and entry policies.
- Plan each day’s Vegas activities around your race session rather than the other way around.
