Two bull-riding championships. Two different arenas. Five nights of action. If you are visiting Las Vegas for PBR week, the most important decision is which event you actually want: the individual Challenger Series Championship at South Point on Wednesday and Thursday, or the ten-team PBR Teams Championship at T-Mobile Arena Friday through Sunday. They are not interchangeable tickets.
This is a practical guide to choosing your night, checking the correct start time, getting to the venue and making more of your trip. All times below are Las Vegas local time (Pacific Standard Time), after the November 1 clock change.

Pick the right championship—and the right date
November 4–5: PBR RAM Challenger Series Championship, South Point Arena
Wednesday, November 4, and Thursday, November 5: 7 p.m. each night. The Challenger Series is PBR’s individual-rider proving ground, with affiliated and unaffiliated riders competing. This event takes place at South Point Arena, 9777 Las Vegas Boulevard South, well south of the main Strip arena corridor. It is not at T-Mobile Arena. See the official PBR Challenger Series event and South Point’s event listing for admission details.
November 6–8: PBR Teams Championship, T-Mobile Arena
The season-ending team championship brings all ten PBR teams to T-Mobile Arena, behind New York-New York and Park MGM. This is the bigger Strip-centered weekend with pre-event tailgating and team activities. It is a separate event from the Challenger Series.
- Friday, November 6: 7:45 p.m. start; doors 6:15 p.m. The PBR event-week schedule lists the tailgate opening at 4 p.m.
- Saturday, November 7: 4:45 p.m. start; doors 3:15 p.m. The tailgate opens at 1 p.m., with team autograph activities listed from 2:30–3:30 p.m.
- Sunday, November 8: 2:30 p.m. start; doors 1 p.m. The tailgate opens at 10 a.m.
Important start-time discrepancy: PBR’s own championship website, the T-Mobile Arena event page, the PBR activity schedule and AXS show 4:45 p.m. Saturday. A separate MGM Resorts event page currently displays 7:15 p.m. Saturday. Use the PBR/arena schedule to plan, but recheck the date and entry time on your actual ticket shortly before leaving. Do not rely on a third-party search snippet. Sunday’s start also differs across some ticket listings; PBR and T-Mobile Arena list 2:30 p.m.
Check the official PBR Teams Championship schedule, arena event page and authorized AXS date-by-date ticket listing before buying. These are direct official/authorized links, not affiliate links; WassupVegas earns no commission from them.
Which day is best for you?
Choose Wednesday or Thursday if you want to see the individual Challenger Series and are happy to travel to South Point. Choose Friday for an evening start with time to explore the Strip before the action. Choose Saturday if daytime team autographs, a tailgate and an earlier start appeal to you. Choose Sunday for the championship conclusion and an afternoon event, but leave flexibility for the finish and departure. The competition format and exact matchups can change; follow PBR for the latest bracket rather than assuming a specific team will appear in a particular session.
Getting to T-Mobile Arena without a parking headache
The arena is at 3780 South Las Vegas Boulevard, accessed from the pedestrian area between New York-New York and Park MGM. The venue’s own travel guidance estimates the walk from Park MGM at under five minutes and from New York-New York at under five minutes; MGM Grand and ARIA are also practical approaches. Build in extra time for event crowds and security. If you are coming from north of Flamingo Road, the arena’s official visitor guidance suggests taxi or rideshare rather than assuming a short walk.

T-Mobile Arena lists reserved event parking at New York-New York, ARIA and Park MGM. Parking prices and spaces can change, so use the arena’s official A–Z guide rather than assuming parking is free or available on arrival. For the Challenger Series at South Point, plan a separate south-Strip journey; do not use the T-Mobile Arena walking directions.
What to bring, and what to leave behind
Bag rule: T-Mobile Arena generally permits only small personal bags up to 9 × 5 × 2 inches. They do not have to be clear, but backpacks and larger bags are not allowed under the standard policy. The venue says promoters can modify rules, so check again before you travel. Bring your mobile ticket, a charged phone and a light layer for the indoor arena. Professional cameras with detachable lenses are among the restricted items. For accessibility arrangements and any medical exceptions, contact the venue directly using its guest-services guidance. Do not assume South Point uses the same bag policy.
Make a full Vegas day of it
For a T-Mobile Arena session, the Park MGM–New York-New York corridor is the simplest pre-event base. Eat before the doors open, explore the listed PBR tailgate when it is running, then walk to the arena. For a wider trip, browse our Sports Hub, Vegas Events Calendar, Trip Planner and Vegas Guides. Our restaurants near T-Mobile Arena guide is useful for pre-event food, but confirm restaurant hours and reservations independently.
Traveling without a car? The car-free Vegas itinerary has broader walking and transit ideas. For same-day changes, check Today in Las Vegas and the official PBR schedule before setting off.
Before you buy
Check event series, venue, date and entry time as four separate items. A Wednesday South Point Challenger Series ticket will not admit you to Friday’s Teams Championship at T-Mobile Arena. The PBR site offers single-day and package choices, but we have not independently verified live inventory, final checkout prices, resale conditions or individual seating availability. The organizers may revise schedules, rider lineups and on-site activities. This guide was researched October 30, 2026 and should be paired with the latest organizer and venue notices.
