UNLV vs. NIU Halloween 2026: Allegiant Stadium Game-Day Guide

Saturday, October 31, 2026 · 7:30 p.m. Pacific · Allegiant Stadium. UNLV hosts Northern Illinois (NIU) on Halloween night. This is also the Rebels’ Nevada Day & Halloween themed home game, so your plan should cover more than kickoff: costume restrictions, how to reach the stadium, and the trip home after a late finish. The event is at 3333 Al Davis Way, Las Vegas. Confirm any last-minute changes with UNLV’s official football schedule before leaving.

Game-night essentials

• Matchup: UNLV Rebels vs. Northern Illinois Huskies, Saturday, October 31.
• Kickoff: 7:30 p.m. Las Vegas local time (PDT). This is a home game at Allegiant Stadium, not at the UNLV campus.
• Special theme: Nevada Day & Halloween. UNLV encourages fans to dress up, but full-face masks are not permitted under stadium policy. UNLV says standout costumes may be featured on the video boards; that is not a guarantee.
• Admission: A valid ticket is required. Check the official AXS event listing or UNLV Athletics. We have not verified current ticket inventory, price, gate opening time or parking charges.

Can you wear a Halloween costume to the game?

Yes, with restrictions. UNLV specifically encourages Halloween dress for the October 31 game, but says full-face masks are prohibited. Keep your face visible and avoid costume accessories that could be mistaken for weapons, oversized props or other prohibited items. A costume that works on the Strip is not automatically acceptable at a stadium security checkpoint. Read the Allegiant Stadium A–Z rules before assembling your outfit, and be prepared to remove any item security rejects.

The easiest transport choice may not be the one Raiders fans use

For UNLV football, RTC Game Day Express uses Route 613 from the UNLV Transit Center at 1135 E. University Avenue. It does not use the six casino-area pickup locations offered for Raiders games. RTC lists a $4 round-trip fare and says inbound service begins two hours before kickoff and ends one hour before kickoff: approximately 5:30–6:30 p.m. for this 7:30 p.m. game, subject to its published service updates. Return buses operate for up to 40 minutes after the game. The drop-off is near Gate 11 on Dean Martin Drive. Staying on the south Strip? Allegiant Stadium identifies the Hacienda Bridge as a pedestrian connection from Las Vegas Boulevard; the bridge is typically reserved for foot traffic around stadium events. Driving? Check event-specific lots and pre-purchase options through the stadium’s official directions page. Do not assume that Raiders parking, entry or shuttle arrangements are identical for UNLV. For a low-stress arrival, plan to be near your entry gate around 60–90 minutes before kickoff, subject to the event’s actual gate schedule.

What to bring — and what to leave at the hotel

Allegiant Stadium permits clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags up to 12 × 6 × 12 inches, plus a small clutch or wallet no larger than 4.5 × 6.5 × 2 inches. Medical exceptions are subject to inspection. Oversized bags, prohibited costume props, outside food and beverages, and many recording devices can prevent entry. The venue is cashless. Its official policy page is the final authority; policies may change without notice.

Halloween in Las Vegas: don’t double-book your evening

There is another sports event in town on October 31: UFC Fight Night: Moicano vs. Nolan at Meta APEX. UFC lists prelims at 2 p.m. Pacific and the main card at 5 p.m. The 7:30 p.m. UNLV kickoff is close enough that you should not assume you can attend the entire UFC card and still arrive for kickoff. The end time of a fight card is unpredictable, and you would also need to travel and pass stadium security. Choose a primary event rather than buying two tickets on an optimistic timeline.

If football is your priority, eat before entering the stadium or plan a postgame meal; a 7:30 p.m. kickoff will likely push dinner later than usual. A simple game-day timeline

1. Before 5 p.m.: choose dinner or a substantial early meal; check tickets, bag rules and costumes.
2. 5:30–6:30 p.m.: if using RTC Route 613, aim for the published inbound window and check for service updates.
3. 6–7 p.m.: allow time to reach the stadium, pass security and find your seats; actual doors may differ.
4. 7:30 p.m.: UNLV vs. NIU kickoff, subject to official confirmation.
5. After the game: use your chosen return route promptly; RTC’s UNLV postgame service does not run all night.
