Las Vegas is obviously a place where people come to drink, party, and let their guard down, but there was something about the atmosphere here that made me genuinely uncomfortable. I saw several situations involving heavily intoxicated female tourists that raised some serious red flags. What stood out most was seeing large, intimidating men quickly ushering visibly intoxicated women away from the men they had arrived with or appeared to be spending time with. From an outside perspective, it was difficult to tell exactly what was happening, and I’m not going to claim that I know anyone’s intentions or accuse anyone of trafficking based solely on what I witnessed. But let it be known that this spot is heavily known for that. Las Vegas has a very active nightlife and a darker side that visitors may not be prepared for, particularly when alcohol, unfamiliar surroundings, and vulnerable tourists are involved. I think people, especially visitors traveling in groups, should pay attention to their surroundings and to anyone attempting to separate an intoxicated person from their friends.
