We didn't get the results we wanted when we took our Hercules to LVVSC on January 27 after not getting any answers for a month from our vet. He declined in health over that month and went from being a healthy 6 yr old 115lb American Bully/APBT/American Bulldog male mix to 99lbs. When we visited him on Jan 29, he had a cone, catheter, harness and was in a wagon. LVVSC neurologist said he was a difficult case, and after process of elimination and nothing working (thought it was immuno-mediated polyarthritis), transferred him to internal med specialist. IM said he was a complex case and wanted another $13,000 for more invasive tests, with no guarantee of diagnosis, after being put out of pocket $8,000 for MRI and $3,000 for 7 day stay already. We used up our yearly pet insurance allowance of $10,000 with all the prior vet visits over the previous month. So with all those odds against us, wanting more money for more painful invasive tests with no guarantee of diagnosis or recovery (cancer), Hercules was suffering, and specialists not positive of a good outcome anyways, we decided to have him euthanized on February 3. It was for the best. Broke my heart seeing him in such bad shape and no chance of recovery. I truly believe it was some hidden bone or bone marrow cancer. And if more tests would have confirmed that, he was already at the end of survival being 2 months. Thanks to the vet specialists for trying. RIP Hercules . You were the bestest dog. You are greatly missed. We love you xoxo

I had a wonderful experience with Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center. The front desk staff, technicians, and veterinarian were all fantastic, providing attentive and compassionate care every step of the way. Highly recommended! Dr P fantastic but the internal med tech was great I just didnt get her name and the front desk staff who checked us in was great and was busy with multitasking but gave us individual attention Empathy for my older dog didn't feel like it was wasted time or effort regarding his care made Gollie the center of attention and care

The staff at LVVSC know what they're doing and we recommend anyone with special Vet needs to go here. So glad this place exists and has specialists. We needed an Orthopedic surgeon consult for an injury on one of our cats and Dr. Rexing and his staff have been wonderful discussing treatment options.

Tropicana location is clean, staff is very professional, and the process from womb to tomb is proficient. The price tag we paid for our pets operation was a bit stiff, but, that's the price we pay to have her on our life.
