You can tell the staff takes pride in maintaining the restaurant’s reputation for excellence. We started with the escargot, which was absolutely delicious and prepared perfectly. For the main course, we ordered steaks, and they did not disappoint. Each cut was cooked exactly as requested—tender, flavorful, and expertly seasoned. Paired with a few cocktails, it made for the perfect dinner and a memorable night out. What makes Michael’s stand out is its ability to combine luxury with comfort. The atmosphere is classy yet inviting, making it equally suited for a date night, celebration, or simply enjoying a fantastic meal while visiting Las Vegas. If you’re staying at South Point and appreciate traditional steakhouses with timeless charm, Michael’s Gourmet Room is a must-visit. Outstanding food, impeccable service, and an ambiance that captures the very best of old Vegas. We’ll definitely be returning on our next trip.

My husband took me to Michael’s last night for my 60th birthday and I cannot express enough how amazing our whole experience was. The atmosphere was classy and old school and the food was out of this world. Vincent was our server and he was as such a pleasure to talk to, very personable. We felt like we knew him forever. Tess assisted as well and he also was absolutely a man with class, he’s so kind and respectful. We started off with the house charcuterie which included the largest black olives I’ve ever seen along with other olive assortments, cucumbers, quail eggs, peppers, etc…. Along with an amazing cheese dip which I’ve could have made a meal out of. The table side Caesar Salad was delicious and my filet was cooked to perfection! I can go on and on but I highly recommend trying Michael’s for yourself, you won’t be disappointed.

Okay I have been to many steakhouses I can quickly and easily say this is the very best food and service I have ever had you pay for it but if you want High Touch This Is The Place it started with an unbelievable complimentary appetizer platter and ended with a complimentary dessert platter and giant fruit bowl

For our Valentine's Day dinner this year, Candice and I returned to one of our longtime favorites, Michael's Gourmet Room at South Point. After yet another exceptional evening, we're reminded why this remains one of our favorite fine dining destinations in Las Vegas. From the moment you arrive, the level of hospitality is evident. The entire staff goes above and beyond to create a memorable experience, delivering the kind of attentive, personalized service that has become increasingly rare. A special shoutout to Vinny, who always keeps us entertained and adds an extra layer of warmth and personality to the evening. As always, we began with Michael's signature bread service and fresh vegetable platter, a classic start that never disappoints. For appetizers, Candice selected the Coquilles Saint-Jacques, which featured tender scallops prepared perfectly. The dish offered a delicate sweetness from the scallops balanced by a rich, buttery sauce that enhanced rather than overwhelmed the seafood. I chose the French onion soup, and it was outstanding. The broth was rich and deeply developed with a wonderful balance of savory beef notes and caramelized onion sweetness. The melted cheese and toasted bread provided the perfect texture contrast, creating a comforting and elegant version of this classic dish. Most importantly, it arrived at the perfect temperature—hot enough to enjoy fully without sacrificing the flavors. For our entrée, we shared the Chateaubriand, prepared and served tableside. The presentation alone is worth experiencing, but the flavor is what truly stands out. Cooked precisely to our requested temperature, the beef was exceptionally tender with a buttery texture that practically melted in your mouth. Each bite delivered rich beef flavor enhanced by the accompanying sauce without masking the quality of the meat. It was a masterclass in classic steakhouse preparation. And then there was dessert. Let's just say there was cake... cake... and more cake. The perfect ending to an already fantastic meal. Michael's Gourmet Room continues to embody everything that makes old-school fine dining special: impeccable service, expertly prepared food, elegant tableside presentations, and an atmosphere that encourages guests to slow down and enjoy the experience. If you're visiting Las Vegas and want a true fine-dining experience that consistently delivers, Michael's Gourmet Room remains one of the very best. Year after year, it never disappoints.

My husband and I went to Michael’s for our 40th wedding anniversary this past weekend. We’ve been wanting to try it for quite some time. We have dined at many fabulous restaurants in Las Vegas, but our experience at Michael’s was more than we could have ever imagined. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like royalty! Our waiter, Vincent, was fabulous! His exceptional, kind, courteous and professional service, along with his sense of humor and attention to detail was absolutely amazing! We had a wide variety of delicious food and everything was beautifully presented. We were surprised at the large portions and were happy to take the leftovers home to enjoy the next day. Vincent brought us a deliciously fabulous dessert for our anniversary and even sang to us. He went above and beyond to make our dinner a memorable one. We absolutely couldn’t have asked for a more fabulous and enjoyable dining experience on our special day. We highly recommend Michael’s and we will definitely be returning soon for another wonderful meal.
