SEMA week is not one event with one ticket. The SEMA Show is primarily an automotive-industry trade show, AAPEX is a separate industry exhibition, and SEMA Fest is a public concert. For visitors, the key opportunity is Friday, November 6, when the SEMA Show opens a ticketed public day for ages 16 and up. The wrong ticket—or arriving after the pickup window—can ruin the plan.
Before you buy: SEMA Show public access is Friday, Nov. 6 only (9 a.m.–4 p.m.). A regular SEMA Fest concert ticket does not include the show floor. A show-floor ticket does not automatically include the concert. Buy through the official SEMA Friday ticket page.
What happens during SEMA week?

| SEMA Show Friday Same venue |
Nov. 6, 9 a.m.–4 p.m. | Ticketed public access, age 16+ |
| AAPEX Venetian Expo & Caesars Forum |
Nov. 3–5, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. | Approved automotive-aftermarket trade attendees |
| SEMA Fest LVCC Bronze Lot |
Nov. 6, gates 3 p.m. | Public concert; separate concert or combination ticket |
These are opening times, not promises that a particular exhibitor, demonstration or artist starts then. The SEMA Show and AAPEX publish their own schedules and admission rules.
Can a regular visitor attend SEMA in 2026?
Yes, but only through the Friday public-ticket program. Tuesday through Thursday remain trade-focused; simply being in Las Vegas or buying a SEMA Fest ticket does not provide entry to the exhibition halls. Friday public access is for people 16 or older, with a government-issued photo ID that matches the ticket confirmation.
SEMA’s official public-ticket page currently lists a $130 show-floor-only Friday ticket, a $170 Friday show + SEMA Fest general-admission combination, and a $80 concert-only general-admission ticket. Those prices were checked October 27 and can change or sell out; the organizer’s checkout is authoritative. The combined VIP option is marked sold out on the current page.
Critical pickup rule: Friday public tickets must be collected personally at SEMA Show Registration in the LVCC South or West Hall between 7:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Friday, November 6. The organizer states that no day-of purchases are available and no one else may collect your ticket. Plan your arrival around pickup—not just the 9 a.m. show-floor opening. Read the exact public-ticket conditions.
SEMA Fest is a different ticket
SEMA Fest takes place Friday, November 6 in the Bronze Lot next to the convention center’s South Hall, with gates opening at 3 p.m. The announced lineup includes The Offspring, Jimmy Eat World, 311 and The Alive. The concert is open to all ages, unlike the 16+ Friday SEMA exhibition-floor rule. If you want both the cars and the music, choose a combined ticket rather than assuming one admission covers both. Check SEMA Fest options and entry conditions.
A workable Friday plan is to collect your public show ticket early, visit the exhibits while they are open, allow time to exit the halls, then move to the Bronze Lot for the concert. The 3 p.m. concert gate opening overlaps the final hour of the 9 a.m.–4 p.m. exhibition, so you will need to choose how much of each experience to prioritize.
What about AAPEX?
AAPEX runs November 3–5, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. at the Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum, not inside the LVCC SEMA Show halls. It focuses on the automotive aftermarket and is a business-to-business event. AAPEX says approved attendee badges cover both AAPEX and the SEMA Show; that is not an invitation for the general public to enter AAPEX. Its own registration rules and restrictions apply. Review the official AAPEX FAQ.
For a qualified professional trying to visit both shows, group meetings and exhibitors by venue rather than crisscrossing town repeatedly. For a tourist who simply wants to see remarkable custom vehicles, the Friday SEMA public day is the relevant option.
Getting to the convention center without a parking headache
SEMA warns that construction affects parking at the Las Vegas Convention Center and recommends the Las Vegas Monorail or official hotel shuttles. The organizer lists free shuttle service from more than 45 participating hotels and discounted Monorail tickets for showgoers. Do not assume every hotel has a shuttle; check the exact route and pickup location.
- Tuesday–Thursday: official hotel shuttles generally run 7–10:30 a.m. toward the show and 3:30–6:30 p.m. on return; intervenue shuttles operate on a separate schedule.
- Friday: official hotel shuttle windows are 7–10:30 a.m. and 2–5 p.m.; SEMA lists no intervenue shuttle service that day.
- Rideshare and taxis: leave extra time for convention traffic and use designated pickup points; do not treat a normal map ETA as a guarantee.
- Monorail: useful for a hotel along its corridor, but confirm station access, fares and current service before relying on it.
The official SEMA transportation page has shuttle routes, stops and accessibility details. For a broader decision about renting a vehicle, see our Las Vegas without a rental car guide.
Arriving early for motorsports? The NHRA Las Vegas Nationals run Oct. 30–Nov. 1 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, before SEMA week. It’s a separate racing event with separate tickets, parking and a different venue. Our guide explains the race schedule, free parking and Saturday Halloween pit activities.
Where to stay, eat and build the rest of the trip
If SEMA is the main reason for your visit, prioritize access to the LVCC and a reliable morning route over choosing a hotel purely for its Strip address. Hotels near the Monorail corridor may make more sense than a cheaper room that requires multiple daily rideshare trips. If AAPEX is your priority, compare access to the Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum instead.
For meals, avoid assuming you can squeeze a distant Strip dinner into a short exhibition break. Pick a restaurant near your evening destination and reserve ahead where appropriate. Our Las Vegas food guide helps you choose by area and occasion. Check the WassupVegas Events Calendar for other verified dates before planning a second show or night out.
Five checks before leaving your hotel
- Confirm you hold the correct ticket or industry badge for the day and venue.
- For Friday public SEMA access, bring matching government photo ID and arrive before the 2 p.m. pickup cutoff.
- Verify your chosen entrance, show hours, bag rules and any updates on the official organizer page.
- Recheck your shuttle or Monorail plan; convention traffic and construction can change the easiest route.
- If attending SEMA Fest, confirm your concert admission separately and allow time to move from the halls to the Bronze Lot.
