a week agoExcellent steakhouse, they have teams of three as your server, which is a little different. I ordered the t-bone, the steak tartare, and the Kobe beef carpaccio, which comes with crostini. Luis my server offered a sauce sampler of cilantro garlic, peppercorn, and red wine demiglaze. I came back here for a second visit, got the 28 oz lobster tail and the bone-in ribeye, and a lavender lemonade mocktail. I came back here for the third time, had lobster chowder, Aspen corn, and American bison ribeye with gorgonzola cheese crust

a week agoReview: I came in for dinner and ended up thinking about the food after I left. The roasted chicken was simple in the best way. Crispy skin, tender meat, and that buttery sauce on the plate made it feel like real comfort food, not something overcomplicated. It tasted like the kind of dish a kitchen only gets right when they actually care about the basics. But the carrot cake was the sleeper hit. Four layers, rich cream cheese frosting, soft cake, and just enough sweetness without being too heavy. The little carrot on top was a nice touch, but the real win was the texture. Moist, dense, and balanced. This is the kind of dessert you order “just to try” and then somehow finish the whole thing. The atmosphere also made the meal better. Warm lighting, calm dining room, nice plating, and a relaxed dinner feel. It did not feel rushed. If you go, get the chicken, save room for the carrot cake, and do not pretend you are only taking “one bite” of dessert. That plan will fail.

3 weeks agoHanks was a decent restaurant for steak but wouldn’t be my first choice. The service was great, the food was pretty good but not great. I had the 22 oz ribeye which should be melt in your mouth tender and delicious. While the flavor was pretty good, it wasn’t $100 good like a Spencer’s, Stockyards or Steak 44. I will be back in a couple weeks to try again. The atmosphere was pretty good in spite of being at the center of a Casino (go figure, it’s Vegas right?) They do serve Camus by the glass if you ask. Great service, great atmosphere, pretty good food.
