VEGAS HOME · PIGEON CONTROL

Pigeons living on the roof
or under solar panels?

Repeated pigeons, nesting material and droppings usually call for more than a one-time cleanup. The useful distinction is cleanup versus exclusion—and whether solar panels change how the work should be done.

Do not climb onto a roof just to inspect the birds.

Roof access, tile surfaces and solar equipment add fall and electrical risks. Heavy accumulations of dried droppings also deserve appropriate cleanup precautions rather than casual sweeping that creates dust.

What problem are you actually solving?

01Birds keep returning

If pigeons repeatedly roost or nest in the same protected gap, ask about exclusion—not only removal or cleanup.

02They are under solar panels

Tell the provider before booking. Ask how guards attach, whether panel/roof warranties are considered, and whether nests are removed before the perimeter is closed.

03Droppings and nesting debris built up

Clarify whether cleanup/sanitation is included with exclusion or priced separately. Do not assume installing mesh includes removing the existing mess.

04Only occasional birds land there

Occasional perching is different from an established nesting problem. An inspection can help avoid paying for a larger treatment than the situation requires.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Ask about the permanent part of the fix.

  • What access point or roost will be blocked?
  • For solar arrays, how is the mesh/guard attached without unnecessary roof or panel damage?
  • Are nests, feathers and droppings removed before exclusion?
  • What warranty applies to the installed exclusion work, and what does it actually cover?
