VEGAS HOME · TREE DAMAGE

Tree down or branch
about to fall?

High winds can turn tree damage into a safety problem quickly. First check for power lines, people and structures—then decide whether this is emergency removal or routine tree work.

Stay away from downed power lines and anything touching them.

Do not approach, cut or move a tree or branch that is contacting or close enough to threaten electrical lines. Keep others away and report the electrical hazard to the appropriate utility/emergency channel.

What is the immediate risk?

01Power line involved

Do not treat this as ordinary tree removal. Keep clear and report the line hazard first.

02Tree or limb is unstable

A split trunk, hanging heavy limb or partially uprooted tree can shift without warning. Stay outside the fall zone.

03It hit the house, roof or vehicle

Tell the tree service what it is resting on. Roof openings or water entry may require roofing/restoration after safe removal.

04No immediate hazard

Dead limbs, overgrowth or preventive pruning can usually be scheduled as normal tree-care work rather than emergency dispatch.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Describe access and risk clearly.

  • Say whether the tree is standing, leaning, uprooted, split or already down.
  • Tell them about nearby buildings, walls, pools, vehicles and overhead lines.
  • Ask whether debris hauling/stump work is included or separate.
  • For risky removals, confirm the company is equipped for the size and location of the tree.
