Las Vegas Athletic Clubs – Henderson

Some interactions deserve another review. I no longer harbor any negative commentary pertaining to the representative I previously discussed. Communication is vital. There is an understanding. My rating has upgraded. The 1st time I ever walked into the LVAC in Henderson/Wellness Pl, the representative treated me like trash. They substituted the Rep with a seasoned personnel, and it was great. However, after I left the tour, I immediately decided on the spot, that I was not joining. That was 2 years ago. I held off stepping foot in there again until I decided I truly need an indoor walking facility. The other day, my son signed me up to assist with my needs. I walked in for the 1st time in over 2 years yesterday. Apparently, a female staffer named Joe processed the membership. Therefore, when I went in I referenced her name at the front desk. The Rep immediately notified her. She took me into a room to the left of the front desk. She exuded friendliness and was upbeat at first with customer service small talk. She asked if I was going to do training that day, I answered No, but wanted to get a look at the walking area and women's gym. Her upbeat and friendly demeanor took a quick turn to the exact opposite. She then specifically asked, "Do you have any other questions that I can answer". I said Yes. I asked her, "Is there any specific protocol pertaining to security and gun safety because I saw there was an isolated incident where a shooting occurred at a different LVAC". She immediately jumped up and said let's start walking and discuss it. She was livid. The entire remainder of our tour I felt her disdain towards me and threw in 2 remarks of small facility chat where you could simply respond. She never gave me any eye contact, never look my way, response at all. I felt so uncomfortable that I asked her if, "Did I offend you in any way by asking my question that she prompted if there were any questions". She was still short, barely looked at me and said, "No". Hope I never ever have to see the woman named Joe again during the times I work out there. If so, I will dismiss her in likewise fashion. She completely brought me back to my horrific experience in 2024. The facility itself is absolutely beautiful.

This is my gym—great value for the price! It has everything: a weightlifting area, running track, lap pool, sauna, whirlpool, fitness classes, and even a juice bar. You really get a lot for what you pay!

This review is a shout out of respect, appreciation for Joe, the evening supervisor on July 16th. I found myself away from my home location of West Sahara, due to my mom's admittance into the hospital. I needed to blow off some steam and contacted Joe at LVAC to see how much it would cost to come in from another location. Joe was extremely compassionate and accommodating; because of her, I feel stress-free and clear-headed to continue serving my mom in the best way possible. Thank you, Joe, for this opportunity.
