in the last weekMy wife and I came in here for a celebration after a hard day of packing up our place to move. I was feeling spendy because I got a big new job. Restaurant was pretty and everyone but our waitress was very friendly. Our waitress was visibly upset the moment we selected the A menu (the affordable one). She did that classic millennial / gen Z crap where she calculated our tip might be low based on our order and immediately iced us out. Over 10 min of sitting at an empty table waiting to place pur first order while we watch tables seated after us order immediately. Nearly 20 min for our first round of food. Server checks back in with us 30 min. Given the possibility of getting that lady, terrible value for money because you'll time out waiting 30+ min for each sushi roll. We managed to squeeze a second order out, but eventually just got frustrated waiting for our second sushi roll after we saw another table get theirs first when they ordered 15 min after us. I was so irrationally upset by the end I debated a dine and dash for no reason other than to get revenge. I eventually just flagged her down while she was talking to someone else ans demanded the check without waiting for the second sushi order. Thankfully someone else stepped in to cash us out at least. I left a 0$ tip, which I only do 1-2 times per year. Don't go here for dates, food is good but they won't be respectful at all. For servers: tip calculation is a self fulfilling prophecy. If you believe customers won't tip well, you will make it true.

in the last weekCame in, date night. Took waitress a long time to come over to the table and take our order. Vaguely Hispanic younger heavyset girl. Was quick, and prompt with every other table. Waited 35 minutes for a sushi roll that we ended up not getting since it was taking forever. Waitress was clearly calculating tip, never be back.

a week agoI first came here two weeks ago and had a great experience. For lunch, they had a large foldable menu and two smaller ones to choose from. Today, at 11:30 am, just after they opened, there were no other customers yet, but the waiter handed me two smaller menus. One was for drinks, and the other had only a tiny amount of sushi with very small, unclear pictures. I asked, "Where's the large foldable menu from last time?" She said, "No, this is it!" Another waiter, the one who served my table last time, came over and also said they didn't have it. I said, "You were here last time, and it was still available two weeks ago. How come you don't have that menu now?" She said they changed it. I said, "You should have just said they changed it, not said you didn't have it." Then I turned and left. Did they think they were so easy to fool?

a week agoThe initial impression of this restaurant was excellent; it was elegantly decorated and comfortably spacious. Regrettably, the evening was completely marred by the utterly unprofessional and deliberately discourteous attitude of our server. Her lack of etiquette was astounding. I'm certain my vocabulary was clear, but she couldn't be bothered to complete a single sentence in our presence. When it came time to order, I clearly requested the brisket and pork belly. I sincerely doubt those two items were mispronounced, yet she delivered the wrong plates. Her immediate justification was, "I thought you ordered the pork belly," implying the error was somehow ours. It was a profoundly frustrating and disappointing experience that completely overshadowed the pleasant ambiance.

a week agoI remember a couple years back when the owner invited me to come to try them out and it was amazing. Unfortunately last night showed me a different experience. We got the most expensive option for the hotpot and they didn’t even bother to bring us our meats. Towards the middle of our meal we didn’t bother trying to order more meat because we hadn’t received our prime rib. We reminded the server and still no meat. The sushi was great. Loved the broth. But we won’t be back because the service is just not ok.
