7 months agoNice for something a little different. Tasty and friendly (and a bit nostalgic for me). In Vegas for a gym meet and wanted to get away from the strip crowds a bit. Happened upon this spot across from Southpoint (after giving up on the buffet there (like a 100 person line!). The food was solid. I had the wagyu chuck roll with pho while the kiddo had wagyu brisket with miso. Both were very solid. If you like a more tender (melt-ish) texture, the brisket works nicely. The chuck is little more familiar in terms of beef texture. Don’t forget the egg is sauce, not for cooking. Service was pleasant and earnest, but definitely a but understaffed and slow. Effort and niceness points for sure though. The restaurant was a little tired, but was fine in general. Overall, I thought it was a good meal and a nice way do something a little different.

a year agoUnfortunately, despite high hopes, we won't be coming back. It looked wonderful entering the doors, but fell off after that. Order were taken, but then we didn't get anything for at least 15 minutes later. With hot pot, you know the broth should come out immediate so that we can get the soup boiling. Nope. The cut meat came out first with no utensils on the table and no soup. What are we supposed to do with this? Several minutes passed before anything came out. We were 1 of 2 patrons on a Tuesday. Service and food was not there and the cost of it...

a year agoTook me a long while to leave this review. Their wagyu is actually pretty good. No complaint on the food quality. We had exceptional service up until the very end. The lady gave us a nice set of candies on our tab. When we asked for a check, there was 20% gratuity charged on the receipt. It is written on their menu that there is an automatic charge of tips for a group of 5, which I respect wholeheartedly, but there were only three of us(me, my wife and a friend). I approached the lady and asked for my money back so I could tip her myself. She took my card, gave me a refund, with no apology and attitude that was not very pleasant as if I should've felt guilty. I still ended up leaving 15% tips and I typically don't like leaving 1-star review, but I took the experience very personal. Why am I forced to leave 20% tips if I didn't come in as a group of 5, like your policy clearly states? We had pleasant experience just up until closing the tab. I am still very confused as to why I was treated that way.
